innovation through vibration

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Hugo da Silva e Sousa

Hugo da Silva e Sousa was a visiting scholar from ICAM Lille, France, where he pursued a Master’s degree in General Engineering. During his stay, he developed a demonstration model of a two-degree-of-freedom tuned mass damper to suppress resonant motion in a primary oscillator. The result provides a clear, physical illustration of dynamic vibration absorbers and supports their use in the classroom alongside analytical models.
